OK, so I realize that I have been running out of ideas for blogs, and that is something I'm trying to change. I guess I don't really know what you guys would like to hear about, cause the only things that go through my head I've pretty much exhausted over these. So, I thought for today's blog, I would describe my dream house to you. I've always dreamed about living in a southern plantation type house. With a long driveway that takes you under a shelter of giant trees. Giant, beautiful trees, that were natural and protected. Something like the top picture, and it would turn to what you guys see on the bottom in the fall.
Then as you drive down the long beautiful driveway you come upon a house that looks a little something like the picture below. Nothing too fancy but nothing too shabby either. Like the house that everyone pictures a true home to look like out in the front, during apparently the 1800's. ((But I don't do slavery. I don't agree with that.)) A wide, spacious front yard where the children could go and run around and play without the fear of getting ran over by a car, or abducted by someone visiting the neighbors house. A few rocking chairs out on the front porch where my husband and I could sit and watch the kids play, when we're not playing with them, and where most of our family events would be held. Picnics, camping, playing games, reading, dancing, eating ice cream on a hot summers day!! So many things that I want to be able to do with my future children that I've always dreamed of doing in our front yard. Then in the back yard there would be a garden that I tend to full of thriving vegetables and maybe an apple tree or two. The flower bed would be full of sweet peas and rose bushes and butterfly bushes and gardenias and lilies and every other beautiful flower you can think of! Butterflies everywhere and a hummingbird or two that I feed with sugar water! There will be trees to climb and a target range where I can go and shoot by myself, or with my husband, and when my children get old enough to hold a gun I'll teach them how to shoot to. But until then they will learn with a bow and use field arrows not hunting arrows. We'll have a dog, not a small dog, but a big dog like a blue weimaraner ((Which are excellent family pets)) or an Akita or a Labrador Retriever! Some dog that's big and my children and I can use it as a pillow and it will be a loyal family pet. It doesn't even have to be a big dog but I don't want a tiny yip-yap dog. I want one I can wrestle with. In the house there would be a game room where our game stations would be, and a few bean bag chairs and a wide screen TV. Possibly a pool table - because I love to play pool - and we would watch movies and play games in there as a family or on our own. I would have a music room with a piano. Doesn't even have to be a grand piano, just a Yamaha piano. And my husband would have a guitar and an amp and whatever else he uses to play his electric and acoustic guitars. This would be where I went to relax and sing and practice my music skills that I might have lost heading out of school, or if I do become a chorus teacher it's where I'll go to prepare for class the next day. Our kitchen would be a modern style kitchen and have a dining room that we would only use for special occasions. We would all sit at a smaller table to eat. Point is we would eat together, I think how my family does it ((Sitting in front of the TV and not talking to each other is kind of pointless)). Then we would have a gym. Weight lifting for my husband and cardiovascular for me. Yoga mats as well. There would definitely be a trampoline out front and even though I might not be able to jump on it, I can go out and practice what gymnastic skills I have acquired, and remembered, from 7 years ago I think. I might just home school my kids if I am a stay-at-home mom, or I might send them off to a public school to learn what people in this world are like, and if they come home back sassing me or their father or even each other I will deal with them, and they better believe that I still believe in the old way of them getting the belt. Ummmm, lets see what else would be there.... AH, a pool most definitely. I love to swim and I want an indoors pool so I could be able to swim whenever I would like. And if not an indoor pool than an outdoor one for definite. It doesn't even have to be big. But as I got older, this dream of my future has become more and more.......... impossible. The house and the yard and the different rooms, I can still have them all if I work towards my goals in a smart and caring way, but it will be a little more askew from what my vision of my dream was when I was younger. Now, I just want to have a family that loves each other and a husband that treats me wonderfully and treats me as an equal in a financially stable position. I don't even care about the land or the dream house anymore. I just want to be financially stable with a family that loves each other. So, yeah, I got kind of deep on you guys but at least I figured out something to talk about. Hahaha :) Maybe I'll find out something to talk about like this tomorrow. Who knows. :)
